We believe that children need to be able to form positive relationships with the adults in our nursery. Each child is allocated a Key-Worker before they start nursery. The parent/carer and child will meet the Key-Worker at a stay and play session before they start nursery and then on their home visit. This ensures that parents and carers and the child know who to take their child to on arrival, who will help settle their child and who is responsible for meeting the individual needs of the child.
Children need to feel safe and secure in order to develop the confidence to become strong and independent so they can enjoy and achieve. We encourage all children to develop positive relationships with other adults in our setting and the other children. We support all our children to develop positive relationships with each other by having clear behaviour expectations and modelling to children key skills such as sharing, making friends and resolving confrontation.
